Changing the Plan. Rethinking the Meal Plan offered at Olin College This case study evaluates Olin College's meal plan. As of 2010 Olin College has one mandatory meal plan for all students. It looks at current research to see what other colleges and universities are doing to improve student satisfaction however continue to make a profit. It purposes a new meal plan opption for Olin College based on current research.
Profit and Loss Statement for Olin College Food Service I created a profit and loss statement and looked at Olin College's food service budget. I analyzed food cost, labor cost, and expenses. I compared their budget to industry standers and offered suggestions to increase revenue.

Serving Students with Food Allergies
I created a training program for food service employees about how to safety service students with food allergies. This training session emphasizing the important of safe food practices to create a safe environment for students who have food allergies. It informs employees about the common eight food allergies and hidden food sources of these allergies.
Modified Recipe: Gluten Free Eggplant Parmesan I created a recipe modification to a classic college dish, Eggplant Parmesan. I made it gluten free for the students who are allergic to wheat at Olin. I analyzed the cost and nutrition of the modified recipe and compared it to the original recipe. I also had a taste pane of students who rated the modified recipe on numerous characteristics. Overall the recipe was a success and is going to be added to the menu.
